It's called 'football' in English, by the way.

The soccer team is in general open for all computer scientist students. The easiest way to join the team is to write an e-mail to fc-sparc@googlegroups.com and then show up at the next practice.

Do you need special soccer shoes to practice?

No not at all. We do encourage you to get some football shoes though - especially for matches, but it's not a requirement. In some cases you could be able to borrow football shoes from us a single time or two if you want to try it out, but that depends on the size of your feet and whether there are any of us with an extra pair of football shoes
