The #diku chatroom is an IRC channel located on the freenode network. This means that you will first have to acquire an IRC client in order to join the fun. (See for instance this question on the QA on Linux IRC clients.)

Once you've found a client, you can connect to the freenode network on "chat.freenode.net". Many IRC clients use the /server command for this, so simply issue /server chat.freenode.net and then join the channel with /join #diku
